For 28 years with FEMA, Star worked on the front lines of disaster recovery, stepping into communities on their hardest days. She brought order to chaos, coordinated with local and state partners, and focused on one mission—help people rebuild quickly and responsibly.

Her commitment to service is also personal. While working full-time, Star became a caregiver for both her husband and her mother. That experience inspired her vision for a Caregivers Network, a simple, one-stop resource to support families who are navigating the same journey.

Star also knows what it takes to build something from the ground up. As the founder and former CEO of four businesses—including a logistics company contracted with FedEx Ground/Home Delivery—she understands the daily challenges small business owners face.
